Crested & Clan Slippers
Luxury Hand Made Smoking Shoes / Smoking Slippers
Handmade Clan and Family Crested or Heraldic Slippers
Shipton & Heneage’s handmade, uniquely customisable Family Crest Slippers are world famous not just for their comfort but for their style. Each pair is hand-made from finest, sumptuous velvet and satin quilt, expertly cut out and lasted using traditional established methods over three hundred years old. Originally intended for home or club use, we are increasingly seeing our Velvet Slippers sported by the fashion-forward at red carpet and black-tie events. Why not put your armorial shield hand-sewn onto a pair of fine slippers. Your motto under your crest, superbly stitched. Made in England.
We serve many clients who wish to customise their Slippers with their own family Coat of Arms or club crest, and we can create emblems from your provided designs, suggest emblems from our existing library or originate emblems for you.
All of our velvet smoking slippers can have embroidery sewn onto black, navy, red, green, brown or royal velvet. The satin quilt lining comes in a choice of black, red, blue or gold.
The leather sole allows them to be worn outdoors.
For those without 'arms' you can apply. The first step in applying for a grant of arms is to submit a petition, or memorial as it is called, to the Earl Marshal. A Herald will then continue the application. Arms and crests, badges and supporters, are granted by letters patent issued by the most senior heralds, the Kings of Arms. They act according to powers delegated to them by the Crown and all grants are therefore made under Crown authority. See the College of Arms website for details.
